Converse’s Coastal Carnage is a wrap and CCS was proud to be a presenting sponsor of this massive party on the beach. Coastal Carnage is an invite only Bowl Jam held in conjunction with the U.S. Open Of Surfing at the pier in Huntington Beach, California. 40 of the world’s best all terrain rippers battled it out for a piece of the $75,000.
The perfect wooden bowl, a Speerco creation, was absolutely destroyed during the three days. Ben Hatchell, Ben Schroeder, Robbie Russo, Curren Caples, Kevin Kowalski, Tom Remillard, Ben Raybourn, Tyler Mumma, Collin Provost along with legends Tony Hawk, Christian Hosoi, and Lance Mountain put on an amazing display of bowl skating. In the end it was Converse’s own Tom Remillard who walked away with the top prize of $15,000. The Birdman, Mr. Tony Hawk won Best Trick with a 540 on the pillar.
