USA Boxing Will be Well-Represented in London: Road to London

At American’s Olympic Qualifying Event in Rio De Janeiro, Team USA qualified six additional boxers for the Olympic Games. Having already qualifying three boxers at the 2011 World Championships, the USA will be well-represented. Being on second to Australia, who has qualified 10 athletes, Team USA is ahead of boxing powerhouses Cuba and Russia. The Americans had an outstanding performance at the Qualifying event, winning three gold medals. Among the gold medalists were Terrell Gausha, Marcus Browne and Michael Hunter covering the middle, light-heavy and heavy weight divisions. Also earning an Olympic berth at the event was team captain and U.S. Marine Core sergeant Jamel Herring, Jose Ramirez and Dominic Breazeale. These six athletes join already qualified Joseph Diaz, Errol Spence and now a three-time Olympian, Rau’shee Warren.
