The most important thing for us is to love what we do. Rousimar Palhares: UFC Rio

The most important thing for us is to love what we do. Get it? I love what I do. I feel pleasure doing what I do everyday. I think the best place for me is to be on this mat. I love what i do, that’s why sometimes all i do is workout.

Because I love what I do. I can’t complain about anything in my life, of all I went through I can’t complain about anything. All of what I went through was the price I had to pay. It was something to make me stronger. That’s it I had to go through that. What makes me good as a fighter…I think no, I’m almost sure. It seems I was getting prepared all the way. Since I first dropped school and started working in the fields. I felt something, like I was going to do something great in this world. But I didn’t know what it was. But I was going to do it. And it seems that every work I got made my body stronger in a way. I just didn’t know how. But when I did jiu-jitsu, I realized. If you already have it all, what’s going to make you grow as a person? How are you going to find your own values? Which is most important. It’s hard, you know. So that is the message I leave.  God helps. But it’s you who must do the work. It’s blood, sweat and sacrifice. I keep on going . I go and I go. Sometimes I forget the limits. Because I have these memories on my mind. That I can and will do it. Everybody can succeed. And if someone is on the wrong path, everybody can change. Go after your dreams. Because our dreams, only we can see them. If you see your dreams, go after it and you will get it. -Rousimar Palhares
